Welcome

"The find, for me at least, is Gary Rideout as Siegfried. Here is that rarity: a basically lyric tenor, light-toned and able to sing honeyed beautiful cantilena ... so much is admirable ... the presentation is first class ..."

Metropolitan Opera tenor Gary Rideout is widely acknowledged as one of the finest singing actors of our day, having won praise for the power, clarity and beauty of his voice. During the 2002-2003 operatic season, Gary was invited by the Kirov Opera to sing Siegfried in the premieres of the Mariinsky Theatre's new productions of Siegfried and Götterdämmerung, under the baton of Valery Gergiev with whom Gary had worked at the Metropolitan Opera in both The Gambler and War and Peace.
